How to replace the front air bag sensor on 2005 Chevrolet Blazer?

To replace the inflatable restraint front end discriminating sensor first disable the SIR system. Avoid hitting the sensor and make sure it is fixed before powering it up. Remove the connector, drill out the mounting rivets and replace with a new rivet if required. Clean the mounting surface and mount the sensor in a horizontal Reconnect the harness and turn the SIR system on.
