How to service the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) on the NV 3500 Manual Transmission on 2005 Chevrolet Blazer?

Service the NV 3500 Manual Transmission VSS while maintaining the vehicle raised with suitable support. Unplug the electrical connection from the VSS speed sensor and take out the sensor including the O-ring seal together. Before putting in the new O-ring seal you should add a thin brush coat of transmission oil. Place the O-ring onto the vehicle speed sensor assembly and then work in the vehicle speed sensor assembly. Install the sensor bolt at 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.) and plug the electrical connector back into the vehicle speed sensor. Finally, lower the vehicle.
