How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier?

To remove the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor, first unplug the battery and jack up your vehicle. In case necessary, take off the front air deflector and the Starter. Now disconnect the ckp sensor electrical connector, remove the ckp sensor bolt as well as the ckp sensor itself. Check the ckp sensor o-ring and grease it using a mineral-based grease before carefully inserting the ckp sensor into the block. Install the ckp sensor bolt with the torque of 8 n.m (71 lb in), and reconnect ckp sensor electrical connector. Reinstall the Starter and the front air deflector if it was taken out earlier. Reduce the vehicle, reconnect the battery, and run the ckp system variation learn procedure.
