  A: To replace the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) found before the Catalytic Converter, start by using some pliers to take off the Exhaust Manifold heat shield. And now disconnect the Oxygen Sensor harness connector and then take off the Oxygen Sensor without damaging the permanently attached pigtail and connector that can affect its fulfillment. Never use excessive force while avoiding damaging/or cutting the threads on the Exhaust Manifold/pipe while ensuring the in-line connector and the louvering end is free of grease, dirt, or other contaminations. If the engine is less than 48°c (120°F) the sensor can be a complex element to remove. Apply a special anti-seize compound that is made up of liquid graphite and glass beads onto the threads of the new Oxygen Sensor to make it easier to remove in future use. Screw in the Oxygen Sensor with a reinforced torque of approximately 30 n.m (22 lb ft) and then connect the Oxygen Sensor harness connector prior to reinstalling the Exhaust Manifold heating shield.
