    A: The Throttle Body assembly replacement requires three initial steps: disconnect the negative Battery Cable followed by engine cover removal and air cleaner outlet resonator and adapter stud extraction. Start by eliminating the cruise control cable and accelerator cable before you eliminate the stud and nuts connected to the accelerator control cable bracket and save the bracket for later use. After disconnecting the idle air control (IAC) valve harness connector and throttle position (TP) sensor harness connector you can remove the Throttle Body retaining studs, extract the Throttle Body assembly and throw away the Throttle Body seal. Following manifold gasket cleaning, install the Throttle Body assembly with a new seal into place while securing it with retaining studs at 9 n.m torque values (80 lb in). There are two steps to complete the installation: install the adapter stud for the air cleaner outlet resonator while tightening its fasteners to 8 n.m (71 lb in), then reconnect the tp sensor and iac valve harness connectors. Attach the accelerator control cable bracket by mounting fasteners at 12 n.m (106 lb in) torque settings before installing accelerator and cruise control cables in a proper position where the throttle remains closed. Complete installation includes the air cleaner outlet resonator along with the engine cover and negative Battery Cable reattachment. Chek your accelerator pedal operation by pushing it to the ground followed by a free release that avoids any throttle binding from closed to full position.
