  A: Start by removing the side front door trim panel as well as the front water deflector in order to replace the door check. Access the door retaining fasteners by releasing the fastener that maintains the door check to the pillar before removing the rubber dust boot from the link. The door check assembly can be removed by extracting it from the door access hole after eliminating the door check retaining fasteners from the door. Placement of the door check assembly requires inserting it through the door access hole with the position arrow facing forward. Secure the door check retaining fasteners to the door by tightening them to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
