How to replace the rear brake line for disc brakes on 2005 Chevrolet Uplander?

After raising your vehicle and securing support you must take off the tire and wheel to work on the rear brake hose for disc brakes. You need to wash the brake hose and brake pipe connection areas before covering the open brake pipe port to avoid leak. By using a back up wrench take out the brake hose from the brake pipe fitting while being careful not to deform the brake pipe or support system. Insert a flat-bladed tool to remove the brake hose retainer clip and disconnect the brake hose from its bracket and the brake caliper by removing the bolt. Put apart the caliper's brake hose gaskets made of copper and plug the brake hose bolt opening to stop fluid leaks. Unplug the rubber seal to put new copper brake hose gaskets on the brake hose fitting and fasten the brake hose bolt with gaskets in place. Turn the brake hose bolt at the rear brake caliper to 43 nm using a torque wrench. Keep the hose straight and undistorted to match the brake bracket notch. Fit the brake hose retainer back on its place then connect the brake hose to the tube fitting by removing the cap and tightening to 21nm (15 ft. Lbs.). End the process by bleeding the brakes then putting back the wheel and tire followed by lowering the vehicle.
