How to Replace the A/C Switch in the HVAC Control Assembly on 2006 Buick LaCrosse?

Kick off the process by taking off the instrument panel lower trim plate and removing the screws that hold the HVAC control assembly. Withdraw the HVAC control assembly from the instrument panel, as clips attached to the panel keep it in place, disconnect the electric connectors, and take out the assembly. While installing, connect the electrical connectors to the HVAC control assembly with the key off to make sure the calibration is proper. Put the HVAC control assembly into place, fasten it with the mounting screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in) and then carefully reinstall the instrument panel lower trim plate. With the engine running, do not touch any of the HVAC control assembly buttons for 1 minute to protect proper operation of the system.
