In order to substitute the lower ball joint, lift and elevate the vehicle, de-tire it, and then drill out the rivets. Take a hammer and a chisel to take rivet heads. Unscrew the ball stud nut, then removing the ball stud with a separator, and fitting another ball stud and ball stud nuts. Last, re-Installing the tire and rechecking of the wheel alignment.
