The Ignition Lock Cylinder replacement starts with disconnecting the battery negative cable while disabling the sir system. Start by placing the Ignition Lock Cylinder at start then remove the column trim covers. Insert an awl through the access hole in the Ignition Lock Cylinder case to release the lock cylinder retaining pin. Before moving the Ignition Lock Cylinder to run position squeeze down the retaining pin before pulling the cylinder free from the Steering Column. Begin installation by attaching Steering Column trim covers followed by sliding the lock cylinder into place so the positioning tab engages its slot on the Ignition Lock Cylinder case. Begin by activating the sir system then join the battery negative connector and execute the passlock learn sequence.
