You must use the flywheel holder (J37096) to maintain the flywheel stationary before discarding the crankshaft balancer bolt that requires servicing simultaneously with the Crankshaft Pulley because it remains attached to the crankshaft balancer while performing this operation. The crankshaft balancer puller (J38197-A) enables crankshaft balancer removal which completes the puller operation. An application of engine oil should precede installation onto the crankshaft balancer where it contacts the front cover seal on the engine. The torque angle meter (J45059) must be used while installing a new crankshaft balancer bolt to stop flywheel rotation. After using a torque angle meter to stabilize the flywheel motion install the crankshaft balancer bolt according to the following procedure: torque it to 150 nm while the meter displays 76 degrees of additional angle. To complete the procedure reinstall the torque converter covers and wheel house liner and Drive Belt and execute the ckp system variation learn process while using the torque angle meter.
