The first step for crankshaft balancer replacement consists of removing the Drive Belt together with wheel house liner and torque converter covers. The flywheel holder (J 37096) must be installed to stop the flywheel from turning; then remove and discard the crankshaft balancer bolt while maintaining the Crankshaft Pulley connected to the crankshaft balancer during service as a single unit. After installing the crankshaft balancer puller (J 38197-A) employees need to remove the crankshaft balancer before taking out the puller itself. Apply engine oil evenly onto both the seal contact surface of the front engine cover as well as the crankshaft balancer before product installation. The installation of the new crankshaft balancer requires use of the torque angle meter (J 45059) to stop the flywheel from spinning during crankshaft bolt tightening. Install the new crankshaft balancer along with its bolt. The bolt requires tightening to 150 n.m (111 lb ft) while the torque angle meter measures 76 degrees additional angle before it is removed from the bolt. The last steps involve replacing torque converter covers together with wheel house liner and Drive Belt while conducting the ckp system variation learn procedure.

The crankshaft balancer replacement process must begin with belt drive removal and subsequent removal of brace bolts and the transaxle to engine brace. Proceed by uninstalling the torque converter cover bolt together with its cover. Install the j 44214 and use it to remove the crankshaft balancer bolt. The next step requires front fascia removal while using a suitable adjustable jack to support the frame. The j 41816 must fit properly into position after you lower the frame through right side frame bolt loosening. Apply the pilot remover into the crankshaft end before you install the j 41816 removal tool to detach the crankshaft balancer. Clean the bolt threads with engine oil then tighten the bolt first to 50 nm (37 lb ft) using j 45059 and continue turning it an additional 120 degrees. Raise the frame to its normal position before inserting the right side frame bolts which should be tightened to 181 nm (133 lb ft). Replace the front fascia on the vehicle followed by removing supports from the frame while extracting the j 44214. Secure the torque converter cover by installing a bolt which should be tightened to 12 nm (106 lb in). The final procedure involves reinstalling the transaxle to engine brace along with its bolts yet tightening them to 47 nm (35 lb ft). Then add the Drive Belt.

Reinstall the torque converter covers, wheel house liner, and drive belt.

Lower the right side of the frame.

Install the bolt, tightening it first to 50 N.m (37 lb ft) and then an additional 120 degrees with the Angle Meter (J 45059).

Tighten it first to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.) and then make a final pass of an additional 120 degrees with the Angle Meter (J45059).

Loosen the right side frame bolts and lower the frame to create clearance for the Crankshaft Balancer Remover (J 41816).

Begin by removing the drive belt, raising and supporting the vehicle, and removing the right front wheel.

Lower the engine assembly.

Loosen the right side frame bolts and lower the frame.

Remove the drive belt and raise and support the vehicle.

Remove the crankshaft balancer bolt and washer without using a power-assisted tool to avoid misalignment.
