How to replace the lower ball joint on 2006 Buick Rendezvous?

Begin the lower Ball Joint replacement by lifting and supporting the car before taking off the tires and wheels. Put the lower Control Arm in a vise before removing it. Press a drill through lower Control Arm rivet heads and then hit the rivets out with a hammer and drift punch. Extract the Ball Joint from its position in the lower Control Arm now. Put the new Ball Joint into the lower Control Arm with its new bolts pointed straight down away from the ball stud and screw on both new Ball Joint nuts. Secure the new Ball Joint nuts to 68 nm (50 ft. Lbs.) and put back the lower Control Arm before installing tires and wheels. When finished position the vehicle in its normal standing position.
