How to replace the vertical seat motor on 2006 Cadillac CTS?

Disabling the SIR system along with removing the seat is necessary before changing the vertical seat adjuster motor. The replacement of the vertical seat adjuster motor begins with disconnecting electrical connectors from the motor then unscrewing the retaining bolt from the motor. The motor should be lifted upward until it releases from slot in the adjuster before removal. Traverse into slot on the adjuster with the vertical seat adjuster motor by rotating downward then set it inside the seat adjuster. After inserting the retaining bolt you should tighten it to 10 N.m (88 lb in). Reinstall the seat while enabling the SIR system before attaching the electrical connectors. The calibration process for memory seats occurs after installation when present.
