How to replace the rear Motor and Transmission Mount on 2006 Chevrolet Equinox?

A vehicle should be raised and supported before removing both front wheels to access the rear transmission mount for replacement. As part of the task, awd vehicle owners need to disconnect stabilizer links from the stabilizer shaft which allows them to swing the shaft upwards for extra clearance. Start by taking out the transmission mount from the vehicle after removing the transmission mount-to-bracket through bolt and the transmission mount-to-frame bolts. Place the transmission mount onto the frame opening before torquing transmission mount-to-frame bolts up to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Screw in the transmission mount-to-bracket through bolt while guiding the mount to the bracket before tightening it to 110 nm (81 ft. Lbs.). The installation of the stabilizer links requires users with awd system to lower the stabilizer shaft before reconnection. Tighten stabilizer link nuts to 65 nm (48 ft. Lbs.). Reinstall both front tires then wheels before gradually lowering the vehicle.
