2006 Chevrolet Impala Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Replace a Vehicle Speed Sensor on 2006 Chevrolet Impala?
A: The procedure to change the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) begins by lifting and supporting the vehicle first. Take off the right front tire and wheel, and after that, detach the VSS electrical connector. After that, take out the VSS bolt and lift the VSS out of the extension case, and then take off the O-ring from the VSS . When installing, put the O-ring onto the VSS and reinstall the VSS into the housing. After putting the VSS bolt back on, tighten it to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.), always checking the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions first. Connect the VSS electrical connector, fit the right front wheel and tire back onto the car, and then lower the vehicle as the last step.
