How to replace the rear brake line on 2007 Buick Lucerne?

Before starting work raise your car and keep it steady before taking off the wheel and tire. After cleaning the pipe and hose fittings properly you should put a rubber cap or plug on the open pipe end to shield against fluids and dirt. To start replacement move the brake pipe connection from brake hose using necessary tools then remove brake hose retainer using flat-bladed tool. Remove the brake caliper bolt and take out the brake hose but keep its two stuck copper brake hose gaskets. Insert a rubber plug into the brake hose bolt opening of the brake caliper to stop fluid from leaking. To complete installation insert new copper brake hose gaskets into the brake hose bolt and gaskets before attaching both to the brake hose then joining it with the brake caliper. Tighten the bolt to 40 n.m (30 lb ft). Position the brake hose properly without twisting or bending to shield it from harm before you connect it to the bracket system. Install the retainer on the hose afterwards. First disassemble the brake pipe fitting end by extracting its rubber cap then install the fitting and fasten it with 15 n.m torque pressure. Avoid driving the vehicle when the brake pedal stays soft or weak since moving it can damage the brakes. End the process by bleeding the brake caliper through its bleeder screw before putting on the car wheel and tire components followed by lowering the vehicle.
