2007 Buick Terraza Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the engine mount on 2007 Buick Terraza?
A: The replacement of an Engine Mount requires removal of the air cleaner outlet duct alongside Engine Mount struts and the subsequent raising and supporting of the vehicle. Begin by removing the Catalytic Converter while simultaneously removing the right front wheel with tire along with the right engine splash shield. Strikes a balance between the Oil Pan and jack support by using a block of wood then proceed to remove Engine Mount to frame nuts. A combination of utility stand and block of wood placed under the Oil Pan will raise the engine while technicians remove the Engine Mount bracket to Oil Pan bolts before extracting the Engine Mount and bracket. Separate the Engine Mount bracket from its nuts and finally take out the mount from its bracket. The installation process begins with attaching the Engine Mount to the bracket and proceeding to tighten the Engine Mount bracket to Engine Mount nuts at 50 n.m (37 lb ft). First secure the Engine Mount together with the Oil Pan followed by tightening the Engine Mount bracket to Oil Pan bolts up to 58 n.m (43 lb ft). Place the engine on the utility stand before attaching the frame nuts to the Engine Mount while tightening them to 47 n.m (35 lb ft). After the right engine splash shield installation you must reinstall the right front wheel and tire and Catalytic Converter before lowering the vehicle to mount struts and reattach the air cleaner outlet duct.
