Start by turning off the ignition and safely raising the vehicle before performing sensor replacement. You must first reposition the wiring harness heat shield to gain access followed by disconnection of the crankshaft position (CKP) electrical connector. First detach the crankshaft sensor bolt then remove the crankshaft sensor from its location. When installing the CPK sensor you must insert it into position while adhering to the Fastener Notice. Fasten the CPK bolt to 10 N.m of torque (89 pounds of inch torque). Reinstall the wiring harness heat shield on the oil level indicator tube after you reconnect the CKP electrical connector. Then lower the vehicle.
