  A: Before replacing front brake pads in the 1500 series, check the brake master cylinder reservoir fluid levels. Drain fluid until you reach the midpoint when reservoir fluid tops the acceptable range. Place your car on a jack then take out the tire assembly through its components. Place two large c-clamps over the caliper housing to push the pistons inwards until they are fully sealed against the back of the outboard pad.
