How to replace the Power Steering Hose on a Left Hand Drive (LH2) on 2007 Cadillac SRX?

The replacement process of the power steering gear inlet pipe/hose on vehicles with left hand drive (LH2) starts with front air deflector removal before positioning drain pans underneath the vehicle where required. The next step requires removal of the air cleaner outlet duct before unscrewing front-half retaining screws on the air cleaner assembly front while taking out the front air cleaner assembly half. Start by separating the Power Steering Pump hose fitting which hose leads to the power steering gear inlet. Proceed to detach the left front tire together with wheel assembly followed by removal of left front bumper fascia extension from the vehicle. First tighten the power steering gear inlet hose by unscrewing it from frame mounting bolts and the retaining bolt at the power steering gear before removing the hose from the vehicle. Begin Power Steering Hose installation before attaching the inlet hose to the power steering gear while tightening its retaining bolt at 23 n.m. The power steering gear inlet hose must be attached to the frame mounting bolts with 10 n.m (88 lb in) torque and the inlet hose fitting must connect to the Power Steering Pump with a tightening force of 38 n.m (28 lb in). Use the power steering entrance hose quick connect to join with the fitting. Afterward, wipe away any remaining fluid and take out all drain pans. The procedure ends with installation of the front air deflector along with left front bumper extension and left front tire/wheel before mounting the air cleaner assembly front half with screws set to 8 n.m (71 lb in) and air cleaner outlet duct installation. Bleeding of the power steering system completes the process.
