How to replace the fan shroud on 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt?

The replacement of a Fan Shroud begins with unmounting the cooling fan assembly from the vehicle. Mark the positions of the cooling fan blades on the cooling Fan Motor shaft before you remove and dispose of the retaining clips and take out the cooling fan blades. Disassemble the cooling Fan Motor by removing both its bolts then extracting the Fan Motor itself. Installation should begin with mounting the cooling Fan Motor and bolts then tightening them to 8 n.m (70 lb in). Place each blade scribe on the cooling Fan Blade and motor shaft for proper alignment before putting in the cooling Fan Blade and fastening it with new retaining clips. The vehicle should get the cooling fan assembly put back in its designated position.
