    A: The replacement of the left Exhaust Manifold on 6.0l vehicles starts with engine sight cover removal followed by removing bank 1 sensor 1 Oxygen Sensor from the Exhaust Manifold then proceeding to remove spark plugs generator and catalytic convertor. Detachment of the heat assembly might be essential when removing the Exhaust Manifold bolts. Cleaning the threads on Cylinder Head Exhaust Manifold bolt holes must occur without any debris or threadlocking material present before beginning the installation. Fix the catalytic convertor onto the intermediate pipe but avoid tightening the clamp because proper Exhaust Manifold placement on the Cylinder Head demands its alignment first. Screw down insulating threadlock gm p/n 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953489) to a 5 mm (0.2 in) wide section around the thread area of Exhaust Manifold bolts before placing the Exhaust Manifold and new gasket in its installation position. Begin by installing the Exhaust Manifold bolts at 15 n.m (11 lb ft) using a pattern starting from the center two while alternating between sides until reaching the outer bolts before tightening all of them to 25 n.m (18 lb ft) while maintaining the same pattern. The repair process requires installation of the bank 1 sensor 1 Oxygen Sensor as well as replacement of spark plugs followed by the generator before placing the engine sight cover and final installation of the catalytic convertor.
