Start by removing the crankshaft balancer and then move to the Water Pump before unbolting the front cover bolts (501). Start by removing the front cover parts (502) and gasket (503) before discarding the previous gasket. Place the front cover gasket (503) followed by the front cover (502) and the bolts (501). Tighten these front cover bolts by hand until they reach finger tightness. Apply a 5 mm (0.2 in) sealant bead measuring 20 mm (0.8 in) to the engine block and position it on the new front cover gasket tabs.
