How to replace the rear brake calipers on 2007 GMC Envoy?

To remove the rear brake caliper, lift the vehicle and take off the tire and wheel from it. Next, unequip the rear brake hose bolt from the rear brake caliper and plug the hole of the brake hose to avoid excessive brake loss and contamination. Remove the copper gaskets and get rid of them from the brake hose bolt. Then, remove the rear brake caliper mounting bolts and pull off the rear brake caliper from the mounting bracket. In case of reusing the brake caliper guide pin, it must be cleaned with denatured alcohol and dried with non-lubricated filtered air. Use high temperature silicone brake lubricant not on the brake pad hardware, and align and mount the rear brake caliper assembly on the mounting bracket. The brake caliper guide pins should be tightened to 31 N.m (23 lb ft) and new copper gaskets put into place on the brake hose bolt. Remove the plug at the brake hose end and the brake hose bolt at the rear brake caliper and replace them with the brake hose bolt at 40Nm (30 lb ft). Bleed the hydraulic brake system and replace the tire and wheel assembly back and reduce vehiclelescope.
