2007 GMC Envoy Shock Absorber Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the shock absorber in the rear suspension on 2007 GMC Envoy?
A: To change Shock Absorber in back suspension first lift and support the car to make sure the rear axle does not hang loose to avoid damage to the upper Control Arm and air suspension parts. Then, support the rear axle before removing the Shock Absorber upper mounting bolt and lower bolt and removing the Shock Absorber from the vehicle. For installation, fix the Shock Absorber back and fit in the lower mounting bolt and tighten to 85 n.m (63 lb ft). Then, install the upper mounting bolt and tighten the upper mounting nut to 85 n.m (63 lb ft). Lastly, take the support off the rear axle and lower the vehicle.
