How to replace the rear brake caliper bracket on 2008 Buick LaCrosse?

A heavy mechanics wire allows secure hanging of the rear brakes caliper during replacement work without disconnecting brake hoses. Disconnect the brake caliper from its mounting bracket before removing both brake pads from their position and the pad retainers from the same place. Evaluate and take off the bolts securing both the Brake Caliper Bracket and the rear Brake Caliper Bracket. Scrub off any rust and dust buildup from the Brake Caliper Bracket with a wire brush while checking the brake mounting system and hardware. After cleaning with denatured alcohol or an equivalent substance you must prepare caliper bracket bolts for installation. Threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canada 10953488) receives application onto 2/3 length of threaded bolt before ten minutes of drying time. Mount the Brake Caliper Bracket onto the main assembly and fasten it with the Brake Caliper Bracket bolts at 120 n.m (89 lb ft). Coat the top part of brake caliper pin bolts with high-temperature silicone lube and put Brake Pad retainers and brake pads back into Brake Caliper Bracket. Finally, install the brake caliper.
