Before replacing the left Timing Chain, remove the engine front cover. Then, get the right bank Timing Chain Tensioner, the Timing Chain shoe and the guide out of the engine. After that, disconnect the Timing Chain for the right bank, the Timing Chain Tensioner, the upper chain guide and the Timing Chain on the primary. Next, remove the right bank camshaft intermediate Timing Chain idler, the left bank Timing Chain Tensioner, the left bank Timing Chain shoe and the left bank Timing Chain Guide. Take out the intermediate Timing Chain idler on the left bank camshaft and the Timing Chain attached to the left bank secondary camshaft. Inspect the camshaft timing drive elements and install new parts when they are required. For installation, begin with the left bank Timing Chain, then place the left bank camshaft intermediate Timing Chain idler, go on to the left bank Timing Chain Guide, then fit the left bank Timing Chain shoe and next connect the left bank Timing Chain Tensioner. Afterward, put the correct bank camshaft intermediate Timing Chain idler, the primary camshaft Timing Chain, the primary upper camshaft Timing Chain Guide and the primary camshaft Timing Chain Tensioner into place. Afterward, set up the correct Timing Chain to the bank's engine side, along with the Timing Chain Guide, shoe and tensioner. Finish by installing the front cover on the engine.
