Start by removing the negative Battery Cable connection. Before beginning the negative Battery Cable replacement you must detach the body harness electrical connector from both the negative cable connector and the current sensor unit. First remove the ground bolt and then the negative Battery Cable from its position. The installation requires a correct orientation of the cable eyelet so its flat side faces downward and its crimped side points upward. After threading the negative Battery Cable eyelet through the Floor Pan hole you must secure the ground bolt using a torque of 36 n.m (27 lb ft). You must connect the body harness electrical connector to the battery current sensor before attaching it to the negative Battery Cable electrical connector and then reconnect the cable.
