How to replace the front brake disc on an AWD on 2008 Cadillac CTS?

Start Brake Disc replacement by lifting the vehicle and put it on supports before taking off the wheel and tire. Unbolt the brake caliper bracket and keep the brake caliper secure with mechanic wire to protect the hydraulic Brake Line. Unplug the brake caliper then bracket assembly and mark the Brake Disc positioning against wheel studs. Loosen and unscrew the Brake Disc before detaching it. Clean both parts of the hub/axle flange with j 42450-a and clean both parts of the disc with j 41013 before fitting a new disc. Use the matchmark to position the Brake Disc correctly before you attach it with the Brake Disc screw then tighten it to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Take measurements for lateral runout assembly when putting the new disc in place as part of brake system repairs. Correct the disc if it shows greater levels than recommendations. Use threads and bolt holes of the lower caliper bracket to apply denatured alcohol for cleaning both surfaces. Then apply threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canada P/N 10953488) to 2/3 of the lower bracket bolt length before waiting 10 minutes for curing. Connect the brake caliper and bracket assembly to the knuckle and fasten it with calibrated caliper bracket bolts that must achieve 225 n.m (166 lb ft) torque before putting back the tire and wheel assembly. After replacing or finishing the Brake Disc you must burnish both parts to conclude the procedure.
