How to replace the front brake caliper bracket on an AWD on 2008 Cadillac CTS?

Before you begin replacing the front Brake Caliper Bracket of an awd vehicle you must raise it then use jack stands to support the vehicle before taking off the wheel and tire. Insert a back up wrench onto the brake caliper guide pins and uninstall the guide pin bolts. Use strong mechanic wire to hold up the brake caliper during replacement to protect the hydraulic flexible brake hose from harm. Start by detaching the brake caliper then provide support to it before you take out the inner and outer brake pads along with their springs and bolts from the Brake Caliper Bracket . Inspect the disc brake hardware. Start your job by placing the Brake Caliper Bracket first. After prepping the lower caliper bracket bolts with a clean thread, apply threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canada P/N 10953488) to 2/3 of their threaded part and let it cure for 10 minutes. Mount the Brake Caliper Bracket bolts and torque them to 225 n.m using proper tool setup. Set the Brake Pad springs in place and add first the inner Brake Pad then the outer Brake Pad. Rephrase these steps when adding the brake caliper to its bracket. Install the guide pin bolts on the brake caliper using a back up wrench then fasten them to 27 n.m (20 lb ft) for je5 models or 65 n.m (48 lb ft) for j55 models. Reinstall the tire and wheel unit.
