How to replace the front brake caliper bracket on 2009 Cadillac CTS?

You must lift and stabilize the vehicle before taking off its tire and wheel. Install a back up wrench on the brake caliper guide pin bolts to remove them. Mount the brake caliper on heavy mechanic wire to save the hydraulic flexible brake hose from harm. Take these steps to replace the Brake Caliper Bracket: first unscrew the brake caliper then eliminate its inner and outer brake pads with their springs. After upward support, detach the bolts holding the Brake Caliper Bracket and Brake Caliper Bracket. Inspect the disc brake hardware. First install the brake caliper mounting bracket onto all disc brake assemblies. Reused lower caliper bracket bolts should have their threads cleared then receive gm threadlocker p/n 12345493 (Canada version 10953488) applied to 2/3 of their thread lengths and left to cure for about 10 minutes. Fit the Brake Caliper Bracket bolts with torque at 230 nm (170 lb ft). Next add Brake Pad springs plus insert the brake pads from inside to outside. After cleaning both lower caliper bracket bolts you should apply threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 again and let it cure for 10 minutes before installation and tightening. After assembling the brake caliper fit it onto its bracket and use a back up wrench to tighten its guide pin bolts to 63 nm (46 lb ft) torque value before replacing the wheel and tire assembly.
