How to replace the rear brake caliper bracket on 2010 Cadillac CTS?

Mount the vehicle securely before taking off the wheel to access the Brake Caliper Bracket. Insert a back up wrench on guide pins to take out their bolts from the brake caliper. Reliable metal wire should retain the brake caliper to shield the hydraulic hose system from harm. Take off the brake caliper and undo the inner and outer brake pads plus their springs. Disassemble the system by taking out the upper Brake Caliper Bracket bolt first then the lower Brake Caliper Bracket bolt along with the brake caliper bracket hour. Inspect the disc brake hardware. To start installation you should put the Brake Caliper Bracket first. Apply threadlocker gm p-n 12345493 (Canada P-N 10953488) to 2-3 of the lower caliper bracket bolts before cleaning threads of the caliper bracket bolts and knuckle mounting holes with denatured alcohol. Advance installation should commence after 10 minutes of cure time. Install and tighten the upper Brake Caliper Bracket bolt loosely first along with the lower Brake Caliper Bracket bolt . Tighten them both to 135 nm (100 lb ft). Lock the brake pads inside their correct positions after applying threadlocker to the clean threads of installation hardware. To finish the job mount the brake caliper on the bracket and use an extra tool on the caliper guide pins to put and tighten the guide pin bolts torqued to 60 nm (44 lb ft) afterward fit the tire and wheel back on.
