How to replace the front brake caliper bracket on 2010 Cadillac CTS?

The process begins with a vehicle lift and support followed by tire and wheel removal from the front bracket. Place a back up wrench on the brake caliper guide pins to remove their retaining bolts. The brake caliper needs to be supported by heavy mechanic wire for hydraulic flexible brake hose protection. First remove the brake caliper followed by removing the inner Brake Pad , outer Brake Pad and Brake Pad springs one after another. Start by removing the Brake Caliper Bracket bolts followed by the Brake Caliper Bracket itself. Inspect the disc brake hardware. First install the Brake Caliper Bracket as part of the installation process. Apply gm p/n 12345493 threadlocker (Canada P/N 10953488) to the lower caliper bracket bolts following a 2/3 thread length protocol and let the compound cure for ten minutes before installation when reusing the bolts. Position the Brake Caliper Bracket bolts and tighten them to 230 nm (170 lb ft) before adding the Brake Pad springs together with inner Brake Pad and outer Brake Pad . The process of cleaning and threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canada P/N 10953488) application should be repeated on all caliper bracket bolts. Complete the installation by placing the brake caliper onto the caliper bracket after using a back up wrench to tighten the guide pin bolts to 63 nm (46 lb ft) torque values and returning the tire and wheel assembly.
