How to Replace a Front Brake Disc (JE5, J55) on 2010 Cadillac CTS?

To swap your front Brake Disc (JE5, J55 or JE5, J55 (AWD)), jack up the vehicle and use jack stands to support it. Take off the tire and wheel before you move on. Secure the brake caliper using mechanic wire for protection when you remove the bolt set. Align the Brake Disc to its original positioning using the wheel studs as a guide. Then take out the Brake Disc screw and remove the disc. Use wheel hub resurfacing kit j-42450-a to clean rust from the hub while you clean the Brake Disc using rotor resurfacing kit j-41013. Test each mating surface for loose particles then place the new disc in position and match it up to the mark. Use a 14 nm torque tool to fasten the Brake Disc with its screw until it reaches 124 pound inch torque. Clean both threaded caliper bracket bolts and holes with denatured alcohol before applying threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canada P/N 10953488) to half of the threads' length. Allow the threadlocker to set for 10 minutes before continuing. Place the brake caliper and bracket on the knuckle and connect them with the same bolts that are tightened to 230 nm (170 lb ft). After installing the tire and wheel reconnect the assembly if you finished or replaced the disc then you should smooth off the pads and discs.
