How to replace the front brake disc (JE5, J55 or JE5, J55 (AWD)) on 2009 Cadillac CTS?

When replacing the front Brake Disc on je5, j55 or je5, j55 (AWD) you need to first lift the vehicle and support it before taking off the tire and wheel assembly. Use mechanic wire to hold up the brake caliper when you disconnect its bracket bolts to safeguard the brake hose. Unbolt the brake caliper and bracket assembly while marking Brake Disc position related to wheel studs. After removing Brake Disc screw you can remove the disc from its position. Remove all rust and dirt from the hub/axle flange with the j-42450-a wheel hub resurfacing kit while using the j-41013 rotor resurfacing kit to clean the Brake Disc. Check around the Brake Disc surfaces for dirt particles before you install the Brake Disc and position it according to the matchmark. Tighten the Brake Disc screw to 14 nm while engaging the brake system. Measure the Brake Disc lateral runout when the components are assembled and adjust it when it exceeds production standards. Clean all threads and holes on the caliper bracket with denatured alcohol before adding 2/3 threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canada P/N 10953488), letting it cure for 10 minutes. Mount the brake caliper and bracket assembly on the knuckle while setting the caliper bracket bolts to 230 nm (170 lb ft) torque. Then secure the tire and wheel assembly. Before driving, run the new brake pads and refinished disc together to adapt them to each other.
