How to replace the rear brake disc (JE5, J55) on 2009 Cadillac CTS?

Start your rear Brake Disc replacement by blocking the wheels and letting go of brake cable tension (if vehicle has electronic park brake). Lift the vehicle and take out both the tire and wheel unit. Utilize mechanic wire to support the brake caliper when you unfasten both its top and bottom bracket bolts. Sign the Brake Disc's position to wheel studs before removing its screws for then pulling out the Brake Disc and bracket assembly. Use both j-42450-a wheel hub resurfacing kit and j-41013 rotor resurfacing kit to remove all rust and waste materials from the wheel hub surface and Brake Disc surface. Look for particles between the braking surfaces and put on the new Brake Disc by lining up its matchmark first. Install the disc and tighten its Brake Disc screw to 12 nm (106 lb in). Align the Brake Disc accurately with the matchmark during installation and test the assembled lateral runout to fix it if necessary. Clean and apply gm threadlocker 12345493 (Canada threadlocker 10953488) to the lower 2/3 of the caliper bracket bolts before their installation. Let the threadlocker cure for about 10 minutes. Install the brake caliper with bracket by threading 135 nm (100 lb ft) bolts into both its upper and lower mounting points. Put the tire assembly back and adjust the electronic park brake before finishing the job through pad and disc burnishing when needed.
