How to replace the rear brake calipers (J56) on 2009 Cadillac CTS?

To replace the rear brake caliper (J56), start by checking the level of fluid in the brake master reservoir; if it is between the maximum-full point and the minimum allowable level that is the midway point, then no fluid can be removed, but if it is far above, then remove fluids to the midway point. Next, slide off the brake pads, after that, slide off the brake hose fitting bolt and cap the brake caliper inlet port, preferably not to reuse the brake hose fitting gaskets. Remove and dispose of the gaskets from the brake hose and then turn off the brake caliper bolts and the brake caliper. During installation, clean the threads of bolts and the threaded holes with denatured alcohol or equivalent and apply thread-locker GM P/N 12345493 (Canada P/N 10953488) to 2/3 of the length of the brake caliper bolts, then allow it to harden for approximately 10 minutes. Mount the brake caliper and brake caliper bolts, and tighten the bolts to 130 Nm (96 lb ft). Attach the brake hose fitting bolt with 2 new brake hose fitting gaskets to the brake hose and tighten the brake hose fitting bolt to 49 Nm (36 lb ft). Replace the brake pad and bleed the hydraulic brake system.
