How to remove and replace the brake caliper bracket (JL9) on 2007 Cadillac CTS?

The first step when changing the Brake Caliper Bracket (JL9) is to establish a firm brake pedal before vehicle movement to protect yourself from injury. First detach the brake caliper from its bracket and secure it with heavy mechanic's wire so you do not put strain on the brake hose that could trigger fluid leakage, damage and other issues. Brake pads should be taken off from Brake Caliper Bracket before removing Brake Pad retainers. Following Brake Caliper Bracket bolt removal you should detach the Brake Caliper Bracket from the knuckle. Verify the bracket's condition because damage requires replacement. To install the Brake Caliper Bracket on the knuckle begin by cleaning the threads of both structures thoroughly before applying threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canada P/N 10953488) to 2/3 of the lower caliper bolts' threaded length and allowing it to cure for about 10 minutes. At first, install the two Brake Caliper Bracket bolts at 130 n.m (96 lb ft) torque setting then mount the Brake Pad retainers and pads to the bracket before you finish with the brake caliper installation onto its bracket.
