    A: Replace the front Brake Caliper Bracket (JE5-17 Inch) by obtaining a firm brake pedal before vehicle movement to protect yourself from harm. The first step is to take out the brake caliper from its position on the Brake Caliper Bracket while using heavy mechanic's wire to maintain the hydraulic flexible brake hose safety. Start by removing brake pads and Brake Pad retainers from the Brake Caliper Bracket before extracting brake caliper guide pins with their boots from the brake caliper mounting bracket . After pulling out the Brake Caliper Bracket mounting bolts the technician should remove the Brake Caliper Bracket from the knuckle and perform checks for cracks or damage and replace as needed. The new Brake Caliper Bracket should be installed on the knuckle while following these steps: apply threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canada P/N 10953488) to two-thirds of the lower caliper bracket bolt threads after cleaning them thoroughly and inspect the bolts for debris. Let the threadlocker cure for ten minutes. Screw and tighten the two Brake Caliper Bracket bolts to 130 nm (96 ft. Lbs.). Install caliper guide pins into their mounting bracket seats while also ensuring full boot insertion into their retaining positions. Attach the brake pads along with their retainers to the Brake Caliper Bracket before installing the brake caliper to the front Brake Caliper Bracket.
