How to replace the front brake caliper bracket (JL9-16 Inch) on 2006 Cadillac CTS?

Start replacing the front Brake Caliper Bracket after you get a firm brake pedal because moving the vehicle without this ensures personal protection. Set the brake caliper aside using mechanical wire to protect the brake hose and remove it from its bracket. Disassemble all brake bracket parts by taking out the brake pads and retainers first followed by removing the brake caliper and its bracket bolts and bracket unit from the knuckle. Replace the Brake Caliper Bracket if you find any cracks or damage through inspection. Secure the Brake Caliper Bracket to the knuckle using all new bolts. Clean any residue off threads and mounting holes on both parts before installation. Swab denatured alcohol over both caliper bracket bolt threads and mounting holes before applying threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canada P/N 10953488) to two-thirds of each bolt length. After ten minutes of fixture time the threadlocker cures. Secure the two Brake Caliper Bracket bolts by turning them to 130 nm (96 ft. Lbs.). Last put on the Brake Pad retainers and brake pads to the Brake Caliper Bracket before setting the brake caliper into the front Brake Caliper Bracket.
