How to replace the front brake calipers (JE5-17 Inch) on 2006 Cadillac CTS?

A check of brake master cylinder reservoir fluid level must occur before performing front brake caliper (JE5-17 Inch) replacement. The brake master cylinder fluid needs no adjustment unless the reservoir fluid reaches the highest mark since middle position serves as the appropriate liquid level. Raise your vehicle and maintain support while removing tire assemblies along with wheels. Fasten a large c-clamp onto the brake caliper body until the caliper piston compresses to a point where it can safely pass through the brake rotor. Lastly remove the c-clamp. Remove the brake hose from the caliper bolt by detaching it while discarding both copper brake hose gaskets that might be attached to the caliper or hose end. Seal the caliper and hose openings before removing brake caliper pin bolts and bracket. Before installing the new caliper check that the caliper guide pin boots have fully engaged their retaining seats while also looking for any signs of damage. The caliper bracket installation should begin with cleaning caliper pin bolts and applying threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) to the bottom 2/3 length of the bolts before the threadlocker cures for 10 minutes. Put thin high-temperature silicone brake lubricant on caliper pin bolts before installing them with the recommended torque of 34 nm (25 ft. Lbs.). Fix the caliper and hose with new copper brake hose gaskets before you connect the brake hose to the caliper while tightening it to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Use the hydraulic brake bleeding procedure then apply the brake pedal slowly to its 2/3 point before releasing it. Repeat this process multiple times until you reach a firm brake pedal. After the steps are finished lower the vehicle and reinstall the tire and wheel assembly.
