How to replace the hydraulic hose on 2006 Cadillac CTS?

Begin replacement work by determining whether the coolant needs draining and if the coolant lines require detaching from the coolant surge tank. Before removing the surge tank from its position use bolt extractors to remove the bolts. First secure the clutch Hydraulic Hose retaining clip from the Clutch Master Cylinder before plugging and capping the hose end and master cylinder fittings to stop fluid leakage and contamination. The technician will raise and support the vehicle then detach the clutch Hydraulic Hose retaining clip from the Clutch Slave Cylinder before removing the clutch Hydraulic Hose from the Clutch Slave Cylinder. No plugging is necessary for the hose ends or slave cylinder fitting because check valves in place will keep fluid loss minimal. The clutch Hydraulic Hose requires removal from the vehicle while a Clutch Slave Cylinder retaining clip gets installed along the Clutch Slave Cylinder. The clutch Hydraulic Hose must follow an upward alignment above the Clutch Slave Cylinder with no sharp bends, kinks or loops downward and must avoid hitting any sharp or hot surface before hose installation. Move the locating tab on the clutch Hydraulic Hose until it fits into the notch found on the slave cylinder hose fitting then push the hose into the Clutch Slave Cylinder until the click sound appears before tugging gently to confirm proper retention. You should place the clutch Hydraulic Hose retaining clip on the Clutch Master Cylinder before attaching the clutch Hydraulic Hose to the Clutch Master Cylinder. Push the fitting firmly until you hear a "click" then test it again by tugging lightly for perfect retention. Finish the process by bleeding the clutch system then correctly position and bolt down the surge tank.
