How to replace the front brake line on 2007 Cadillac CTS?

To change the front brake hose start by supporting the vehicle and take the tire and wheel off. Clean both brake hardware parts and install a rubber sealing device to protect the brake fitting from fluid leaks. Undo the brake hose connection and put a cap on its brake pipe end. Detach the brake hose frame bracket and its mounting nut before removing the brake hose and bracket components. Pull out the brake hose to caliper bolt at the caliper while removing the brake hose from its housing. Using the towel as a surface base tap the brake hose threaded end bolt onto the towel to loosen the gasket. Take out both old copper brake hose gaskets that could be attached on the brake caliper or hose end before fitting a rubber plug into the caliper bolt hole. Install the new copper brake hose gaskets when you open the hole between the brake hose and caliper bolt. You should create a brake hose assembly by adding the new copper brake hose gaskets between the brake hose and bolt. After that install the brake hose onto the caliper bolt. Tighten the bolt to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Secure the brake hose system to the frame by tightening the nut to 14 n.m. Put the brake hose to the exposed end of the brake pipe fitting and tighten it firmly to 18 n.m (13 lb ft). After bleeding the brakes you should place the tire and wheel back while lowering the vehicle.
