  A: The replacement of an engine front cover begins by removing the engine cover and the upper Intake Manifold paired with the lower Intake Manifold on lp1 and ly7 engines or the sole Intake Manifold in llt engines. You need to start by removing the camshaft covers followed by draining engine coolant and detaching the purge vent hose from the water outlet before extracting the water outlet with its attached Radiator Hose. The next step requires removal of accessory drive belts followed by extraction of the A/C Compressor and power steering belt tensioner and generator bracket with its attached tensioner and generator as long as power steering pipes stay connected with no fluid draining.
