    To change the engine front cover, firstly you must remove the engine cover; in lp1 as well as ly7 engines, you must remove the upper Intake Manifold and this as well as lower Intake Manifold, but for llt engines, remove the Intake Manifold. Next is to remove the camshaft covers, drain the engine coolant, disconnect with the purge vent hose from the water outlet, remove the water outlet with the Radiator Hose. After that, remove the accessory drive belts, the A/C Compressor and power steering belts tensioner, their generator bracket with the generator and tensioner without disconnecting the power steering pipes or draining fluid from it. Repsoe the power steering fluid reservoir, take off the Power Steering Pump pulley and subsequently the Power Steering Pump upper front bolt with the loosening of the other bolts. Proceed to remove the crankshaft balancer, camshaft position sensors as well as the camshaft position actuator solenoid valves on the front cover. Take off the engine front cover with the Water Pump, and lift off the engine front cover, and thoroughly clean the sealing surfaces making sure to use cardstock between the Oil Pan front and the Oil Pump to prevent debris from getting into the Oil Pump use compressed air to remove any engine coolant from the cooling passages and the top session of the oil scraper. In the case of installation, build the engine front cover from the en 46109, install the camshaft position actuator solenoid valves and camshaft position sensors, install the crankshaft balancer, install the Power Steering Pump and the Power Steering Pump pulley. Install power steering fluid reservoir, generator bracket complete with generator and belt tensioner, a/c compressor and power steering belt tensioner, and accessory drive belts. Finally, install the water outlet, reconnect purge vent hose, fill cooling system, install camshaft covers, for llt installation Intake Manifold and for lp1 and ly7 engines upper Intake Manifold with lower Intake Manifold and finally install engine cover and fill cooling system once more.

    To remove the engine front cover the first step should be to drain the cooling system. Remove air outlet duct so that you can reach Thermostat Housing and from there you use hose clamp pliers (J 38185) in order to remove heaters hose from Thermostat Housing. Secondly, disconnect the coolants Radiator Hose along with the helper Water Pump if present. Move to eliminate the drive belt tensioner, supported by the drive belt idler pulley bolt as well as the drive belt idler pulley itself. Lower the pulley for the Water Pump, lift the vehicle and support it with the help of stands, remove the crankshaft balancer, then run the repair procedures that are depicted in the pictures. Unbolt the engine front cover and remove it along with discarding the old gasket. Clean and inspect the engine front cover before using a little touch of sealant along the split line of the upper and the lower crankcases, and at the top of the block face. Replace the new engine front cover gasket over the crankcase dowel pins and set the engine front cover. Apply threadlocking compound to the engine front cover bolts and install with them holding in the specified sequence or 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Replace the crankshaft balancer and the Water Pump Pulley by mounting the bolts with a torque of 10 n.m (89 lb in). Mount the upper portion of the upper slip joint in the engine block" the upper banjo nipple of the pgs 76 pn "and tighten with bolt "5" the t-grade twenty three (23) first switch "don't forget which nut is really to the t with the bolt" when bolt "5" is replaced (PGS 76 PN) tighten to 150, buna-n standart (111 lb ft" "5 fasteners note) "then replace the p-roller assembly, idler pulley and its bolt" install it of materials grade sc with twelve nine (12) ft lb" colours "as listed reconnect the coolant Radiator Hose and the heater hose using hose clamp pliers (J 38185) and the air outlet duct. Finally, fill the cooling system.
