• Q: How to replace the Rocker Shaft Spring Kit and Valve Stem Oil Seal on the right side on 2008 Cadillac CTS?

  A: The Starter motor must be taken off first to access the oil seal and valve spring on the right side. When you need to remove the en 46106 from its rest place and the leftover Crankshaft keeps moving the entire Camshaft timing system must be dismantled and rebuilt. To avoid Crankshaft rotations install the en 46106 before taking off the camshafts and rocker arms. Connect the j 39313 (Spark Plug Port Adapter) to the specific cylinder by removing its Spark Plug. Then link the adapter to a compressed air supply. Raise en 46110 above the chosen cylinder to install its valve spring compressor nut effectively. To start the procedure you need to remove valve keepers and turn the valve spring compressor nut before getting the valve spring retainer and springs out. The valve stem seal driver en 46116 lets you uninstall valve stem seals. The en 46116 tool should be used to put new valve stem seals before adding the valve spring and retainer. Fit the en 46110 part on top of the valve spring and secure the nut. Afterwards attach the valve spring keepers. Uninstall the en 46110 tool before removing the j 39313 connection to air pressure and removing the j 39313 unit altogether. Put in both spark plugs then place back the rocker arms and camshafts before removing the en 46106 control with installation of the Starter engine.
