• Q: How to replace the rear wheel hub and bearing on 2008 Cadillac CTS?

  A: Before starting work you must lift and stabilize the car. Take off the wheel and tire unit before you remove the rear Wheel Speed Sensor. You need to disconnect the wheel drive part from the Wheel Bearing/hub assembly based on correct left or right side methods. Push the outer CV Joint toward the center to make space for mounting bolt removal. Then take out the rear brake rotor from the Wheel Bearing/hub assembly. Use a socket tool to remove the mounting bolts for the Wheel Bearing/hub assembly then take it out from the knuckle. Put the rear Wheel Bearing/hub assembly into its knuckle position and set the wheel drive axle inside. Start by manually tightening the mounting bolts before torquing them to 135 n.m. Fasten the Control Arm Bolt to the knuckle first and then put on the rear brake rotor. Set the wheel drive shaft nut correctly according to the left or right side instructions. Put back the rear Wheel Speed Sensor and the tire followed by wheel installation. Lower the car to conclude the process.
