How to replace the trailing arm on 2008 Cadillac CTS?

To replace the trailing arm, you are required to-remove the rear trailing-arm mounting nut and bolt from the knuckle-support the front part of the rear suspension support and lower it to expose the front of the trailing-arm mounting bolt and nut. Then, take away the front mounting bolts for the rear suspension support, front mounting nut and bolt for trailing arm. To remove the rear trailing arm , lower from the knuckle , shift to the rear side , and detach from the mounting bracket. For installation, place the trailing arm in the mounting bracket and at the knuckle, install the trailing arm bolt, following the fastener notice. Put on the front trailing arm nut and tighten it to 150 N.m (111 lb ft). Next, insert to front mounting bolts for the rear suspension support inserting then rear trailing arm nut and bolt, tightening the trailing arm bolt with 170 N.m (125 lb ft). Finally, install the tire and the wheel, take back the support from the vehicle, lower the vehicle and align the rear suspension accordingly.
