  A: Check the brake master cylinder fluid level before starting work on the 1500 series rear disc brake pads. Drain the fluid until the level reaches halfway between minimum and maximum markings if the fluid exceeds this point. Lift and secure the vehicle while taking off the tire and wheel unit. Adjust the Brake Caliper Piston with a c-clamp over the housing toward the inboard pads until the piston fully compresses. For guide pin bolt removal keep hand tools handy when tightening an open-end wrench onto the caliper guide pin. Put heavy mechanic wire under the brake caliper to protect the hydraulic brake hose.
