How to Replace an Ambient Temperature Sensor in an HVAC System on 2008 Cadillac XLR?

Begin sensor replacement after first elevating and stabilizing the vehicle. Begin by disconnecting the electrical connection of the ambient air temperature sensor and removing its push-in retainer located on the lower RH side of the radiator support. Remove the ambient air temperature sensor from its position in the radiator support . Place the ambient air temperature sensor with its sensor probe facing inside and its electrical connector towards the exterior for installation. Attach the ambient air temperature sensor to the lower radiator support by inserting the push-in retainer. Securely reconnect the ambient air temperature sensor electrical connector as the last step.
