How to Replace an Ambient Temperature Sensor on 2009 Cadillac XLR?

The first step in replacing the ambient air temperature sensor is to lift and stabilize the vehicle in position. Use a wrench to disconnect the ambient air temperature sensor electrical connector before removing its push-in retainer from the lower RH side of the radiator support. Extract the ambient air temperature sensor from the radiator support area. When installing the sensor make sure it faces towards the inner part of the compartment with its electrical port positioned on the exterior side. Fasten the ambient air temperature sensor to the lower radiator support by using the push-in retainer. End the procedure by joining the ambient air temperature sensor electrical connector back into place.
