How to replace the cellular and navigation antenna assembly on 2008 Cadillac XLR?

To replace the cellular and navigation Antenna assembly one needs to remove the windshield garnish molding first. Next, remove the retaining clips from the windshield bracket by grasping the Antenna assembly towards the windshield at the passenger side of the vehicle. Lower Antenna coaxial cable from windshield header and then disconnect the coaxial leads from the Antenna Base and Antenna removed from vehicle. Orientation for installation is to be done by placing the Antenna assembly to the windshield as well as the linking of the coaxial leads to the Antenna. Route the Antenna coaxial cable to the windshield header, aligning the Antenna assembly to the windshield bracket retaining clips, and nudge the assembly to the driver side of the vehicle to engage the retainers. Lastly, install the windshield garnish molding.
